Q. Phil, I just had my carpets cleaned and it seems like the same stains keep reappearing. Is that possible?

A. Yes, this is very common problem. When you a clean a carpet, especially using a spot remover, you actually press the stain deeper into the carpet. Carpets dry from the bottom up, so all the cleaning solution residue gets concentrated at the top and acts as a magnet for dirt and results in the stain reappearing. This is a common problem when the soap is not thoroughly rinsed out. Hydro Rinse Carpet Cleaners can and does rinse carpets more thorougly than any other cleaner around!

Q. What do I need to do to prepare for carpet cleaning?

A. We ask that our clients remove or put away all valuables for safe-keeping, have the carpet area to be cleaned clear of miscellaneous items, but part of our service is to move furniture to access the entire carpet.

A. Phil, what can I do to ensure my carpets stay as clean as possible after they're treated?

Q.  We believe our unique process ensures that your carpets will stay cleaner longer, but in addition, the following recommendations should be helpful:

  • Allow carpets to thoroughly dry - realistically, it takes nearly 6 hours to dry. Leaving fans on and keeping humidity lower will also help.

  • Remove shoes prior to walking on the freshly-cleaned carpet

  • Vaccuum carpets at least 2 times a week to remove dust, dander and other allergens.

  • Have carpets cleaned every 6-9 months to increase the life of the carpet
